Initial Steps

Initial Steps is a programme delivered in partnership with other local providers.  It is aimed at addressing the needs of clients who face barriers to work and are in need of an individual plan of support and assistance to enable them to move forward and prepare for work in the future.

The programme will provide one to one and group support to increase self confidence and begin to address training needs.

Employment Skills Vocational Routeway

This programme will address the needs of people who may face barriers and be disadvantaged in the labour market.  It will prepare people to be 'job ready' and be able to compete, secure and keep employment in the local labour market.

This programme is a natural progression for those people on Initial Steps.  We will work with individuals to identify realistic job goals, assess their training needs and move them into permanent employment.  The training will develop general employability skills to meet the behaviours and attributes that employers require and where necessary provide vocational skills training for specific job roles.
