What we offer
If you are an adult and you’d like to learn a new skill or gain a qualification but are struggling to find the time to make a regular commitment, learndirect courses are the solution for you.
learndirect offers an alternative adult education opportunity with ‘distance learning’ i.e. learning via computer with access to the internet. This allows a more flexible approach, learning as and when you have time and wherever you have access to a computer, at home, work or in one of our 4 centres.
You needn’t feel isolated in your learning either. All learndirect courses are fully supported; you’ll get regular contact with a trainer in one of our centres or over the telephone or by email.
learndirect offers a huge variety of courses, approximately 750 in total, most of which are available online. You can update your English and Maths qualifications, learn anything and everything about using a computer or work towards a qualification to improve your employability e.g. Fork Lift Truck Licence or Basic Food Hygiene qualifications.
All courses are available at various levels, so whether you’re a beginner or already have some knowledge, there will be something for you.
Many learners use the centres to learn and make new friends along the way. We offer a preview of courses before you choose and a chance to meet the friendly staff and see how it all works. Then you can decide if it is right for you.
