Information, Advice and Guidance

You may need advice about the course you have chosen or information and guidance to help you to find a course which will meet your needs.  We will be happy to help you make the right choice. Whether it is spelling or computing, a family course, learning a new skill, or the first step on the way to a different job, our centre staff are there to help you make sure that the course you choose is the right one for you.

You can contact the centre of your choice by telephone, e-mail or in person (please see contact details below). If we cannot offer the course you require, then we will advise you of other learning providers who may be able to help.

We value the success of our learners very highly, and want to ensure that you are enrolled on the best course to meet your requirements. If you are taking a course which leads to a qualification, we consider the first two weeks an induction period where you will make a start on your learning and your tutor will spend time helping you to decide if the course you have chosen is the right one for you. The course requirements will be discussed and the materials needed (e.g. books and equipment) will be fully explained. If, after these first two weeks, you find that the course is not the right course for you, then you may withdraw with a full refund of your fee and we can signpost you to more appropriate provision.

As part of our commitment to you during or at the end of your course, we will advise you of further options to which you can progress, either to advance the skills you have learned or to start something new.  If we are unable to give you the information and advice you need we will introduce you to those who can.
