General information

Information about your council

Council Tax - This section provides information about how your council tax is calculated, tax reductions, appeals, reminders and more.

 

Councillor Finder - An easy to use list where you can find councillors by name or by the wards in which they operate.

 

Customer Service Centres - There are 14 customer service centres located throughout the East Riding. These centres are there to offer you information, advice and guidance on all council services, you can even get help filling in application forms, whether it be in person, be fax, email, text messaging, video conferencing or email.

 

Electoral services - The electoral services section holds information concerning electoral registrations, the election process, polling cards and stations, postal and absent voting.

 

How to get involved - If you would like more information on how to become a councillor yourself, the information you need is here.

 

Management structure - Useful if you would like to look up who is responsible for each area of the council, and how you can contact them.

School meals - The council's Catering Unit works together with schools to help them provide a healthy balanced diet, operate within statutory guidelines and follows catering industry best practice.

 

Planning

Planning and Building control - The planning teams provide advice and information on planning and development control, building control and forward planning.

 

In this area you can dowload or complete planning application forms online, view current planning application forms and view minutes from planning sub-committees.

 

Public Access - An online service that allows you to view details of planning applications being considered by the council as well as some planning history.

 

Leisure and culture

Getting around

Traveline Yorkshire - provides impartial journey planning information about all public transport services - buses, coaches, trains and trams, throughout Yorkshire.

 

Walking the Riding - helps you to enjoy the varied countryside of East Yorkshire.  Whether you’re an experienced walker or just fancy a Sunday stroll, you'll find a route to suit your need.

 

Sports and Leisure

Leisure Centre Listings - Find your nearest leisure centre and look up the facilities they provide.

 

Libraries - This section covers a range of services offered by the Library and Information Service, and hopes to provide answers to some frequently asked questions about the range and availability of our services.

 

Sport club search - This search tool helps you find local sports clubs in your area. There are over 200 sports clubs listed.

 

The Treasure House - The Treasure House's state-of-the-art stores hold the collections of the East Riding Archives, Beverley Local Studies Library, Beverley Art Gallery, Beverley Guildhall and the Archaeology of the East Riding Museums Service.

Visit East Yorkshire - A site dedicated to showcasing Hull and East Yorkshire's attractions to visitors and tourists.

 

Sewerby - Sewerby Hall is situated 2 miles north of the seaside resort of Bridlington, on the East Yorkshire coast. The grade I listed country house is set in 50 acres of landscaped gardens in a cliff top location on the outskirts of Sewerby village.
