Service plans are an important improvement tool which helps us to set a clear direction for each service – so that managers, staff and councillors know what the priorities for the service are.
They help us to:
- set out key service improvements for the year ahead and longer term
- maintain focus on service delivery
- manage performance through regularly monitoring progress and taking action to address poor performance
- make the risks of our services explicit
- explain and pinpoint delivery of our priorities to individual staff through Employee Development Reviews.
