Internet access points in Beverley library

Access is available in all libraries and weekly mobile library services.

Internet and email services are free but there is a charge for printing.

Can I set up my own web-based email address?

Yes. If you need help use:

Can children use the Library computers?

Yes, however they need signed consent from their parent/guardian. Check our Acceptable use policy section 6.

 

Do I have to join the library to use the PCs?

No. However on your first visit you will be asked to read and agree to our Acceptable use policy. After this you will sign in each time you use one of the PCs to confirm that you will abide by the policy.

 

Do you use filtering software?

Yes, and as as a result some sites and services such as chat rooms will not be available.

 

What software applications will I be able to use on the public access PCs?

You will be able to access the internet through Internet Explorer as well as use web-based email, MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
