On the ground floor visitors' lockers, visitors' toilets, a toilet for people with disabilities, a baby changing room, a connecting corridor to Beverley Library, and a conservation workshop where a Conservator will work to preserve the archive collection.
The first floor of the Treasure House, known as the Champney Galleries, is devoted to the interpretation and celebration of East Riding heritage. The "Treasures of the East Riding" permanent display offers an introduction to the history of the area and allows visitors to view highlights from the combined collections. A case has been set aside for the display of important objects on loan from national and regional heritage organisations.
From the first floor of the Treasure House a corridor links to the Edwardian Beverley Art Gallery which puts on temporary displays celebrating East Riding art as well as displaying national touring exhibitions. Notable features of the art gallery collection include the works of the Beverley born, Royal Academician, Fred Elwell, and of his wife, Mary Elwell.
