Services and Facilities to Young People

What we promised: to ensure information and advice on healthy lifestyles will be available to young people through East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Youth Centres, detached youth workers, secondary schools and relevant voluntary organisations.  This will include information on exercise, diet, sexual health, smoking, drugs and bullying.

Reporting of this Promise will begin during September

Denise Shaw, Head of Inclusion Services, said:

"Young people themselves have told us that they would value more information on how to stay healthy.

“This promise will help us to ensure all young people in East Riding of Yorkshire will be able to access good advice."

Residents who answered the survey were interested in all of the areas offered as potential promises by the youth services team, but no other area received more responses than providing advice for young people.  The information and advice is now set to be rolled out across the East Riding over the next six months.
