Feeding Back on Consultation
What we promised: to develop a monthly feature in East Riding News which tells people about the surveys and consultations the council is carrying out.
|
New Surveys: A second round of consultation regarding the Dog Control Order will be launched next month. This follows on from consultation in March this year regarding the replacing of the current legislation regarding dogs, the Dogs (fouling of land) Act 1996 and the control of dogs byelaws. It asks for residents opinions on the proposed changes to the Dog Control Order, from the land included to the type of offences suggested.
Completed Surveys: The council wanted to identify issues and options for the economic development of Driffield and the surrounding area to feed into the Driffield Renaissance Plan.
You Told Us:
...that you wanted better quality shops and that you were concerned about proposed supermarket developments.
- We have established a town centre group to address local issues.
…that the majority of residents wanted to see improvements around the train station.
- We have developed a project to transform a patch of derelict land in to a community garden adjacent to the train station.
…that you are concerned about the lack of facilities, such as good quality, safe play areas, available for children and young people and how young people are not involved in local decision making.
- We are looking to establish a Driffield Town Youth Council. | |
