"This policy sets out the basic commitments of the council in relation to its corporate consultation process. The document describes how East Riding of Yorkshire Council will consult with residents, businesses, partner bodies and other stakeholders. East Riding of Yorkshire Council will then use the results to inform decision-making processes, to develop and refine its policies and to help drive improvements in the services it provides.

The document includes information on; managing survey work, our guiding principles, sampling and bias, consultation methods and approaches, how to engage hard to reach groups and good practice."
