School Admissions

The East Riding of Yorkshire council publishes a set of criteria to determine the allocation of school places in the event of over subscription.

The section does not deal with admissions to nursery. These are dealt with directly by the relevant school/nursery.

Catchment area

Catchment area is ranked the highest. In order for you to determine your catchment area school you can enter your postcode in the search field below and a list of local schools will appear - click on one to view further details.

If you are considering naming a school other than your catchment area school as your first choice, you should think carefully about what your chances are of getting a place.

To select another school, use the back button on your browser to select another one:

If you wish to make an appeal against the allocation of a school place you can do so by using the online appeals form.

Arrangements for 2008/2009 Admissions

Each year all local authorities have to determine a number of arrangements and schemes that will be used to enable parents to apply for school places and to decide how places at schools in the area will be allocated.

After consultation with schools, the relevant diocesan boards of education, neighbouring local authorities and the Admissions Forum, the East Riding of Yorkshire Council has now determined the arrangements and schemes which will be used for admissions to schools in the 2008/2009 school year.

Copies of the relevant documents are available in PDF format below.
