File Sizes
Email systems and Internet Service Providers can restrict the size of
documents sent and received over the Internet and hence a single document
submitted electronically should not be over 10Mb in file size.
Applications exceeding 25 Mbytes in total should be submitted offline
using CDROM or DVD
Adobe PDF documents should be submitted optimised for the web and reduced
to the minimum file size without reducing the quality of the document.
Valid File Formats.
All drawings shall be saved as single layers
All drawings shall specify the printing page size for which the scale
applies.
All drawings shall be correctly orientated for on-screen display
Scanned documents submitted electronically should be scanned at a minimum
of 200dpi resolution for Black and White and 100dpi for colour.
All drawings shall include a Scale Bar and Key Dimensions
PDF is the recommended file format for all photographs; however, JPEG,
BITMAP and TIFF are accepted.
All photographs shall be no larger in size than 15cm x 10cm
The document extensions listed below are accepted electronically
.tiff, .jpg, .pdf, .doc, .dwf
Planning application information submitted to the Council is protected by the
Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only use material which
is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current
applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have
been completed in accordance with approved plans. Further copies must
not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council reserve the right to remove or not display
certain planning application information for confidentiality or other
reasons.
