Our objectives:

RE-USING ICT

By re-using surplus computer assets owned by the local authority, the RefIT project can provide affordable ICT to anyone residing in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We also provide and install single or multiple units to new and emerging businesses. Free e-learning courses are also included in our business support programme.

We can also provide second user computer equipment to registered charities and educational bodies.

COMPUTER SUPPORT 

We offer repair, installation and upgrade services for desktop computers and laptops using recycled components. For a fee of £5 per unit, we will carry out data destruction of hard drives  for any computers owned by businesses in home users.

ICT COLLECTIONS 

In partnership with Refurbit in Hull, we collect computer consignments from local businesses and destroy all data and tracablilty prior to reuse or disposal as waste. to arrange a collection or for further information please ring 01482 565999 or visit: Refurbit Hull

Training

In partnership with East Riding Training Services, RefIT is also accredited to deliver an IT Foundation Modern Apprenticeship. This is accomplished through work-based learning in full time work. We are actively seeking both learners and  work placements for modern apprentices to participate in this qualification. For further information please contact us.

RefIT Bridlington is registered with the Environment Agency as a hazardous waste producer and holds a paragraph 40 exemption under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2007
