Our
objectives:
Providing access to second user IT equipment for all types of businesses, community groups and individuals across the East Riding of Yorkshire
Providing training, work experience and business support
Promoting business growth through modern apprenticeships
Promoting resource efficiency with our REI partners
RE-USING ICT
By re-using surplus computer assets owned by the local authority, the RefIT project can provide affordable ICT to anyone residing in the East Riding of Yorkshire. We also provide and install single or multiple units to new and emerging businesses. Free e-learning courses are also included in our business support programme.
We can also provide second user computer equipment to registered charities and educational bodies.
COMPUTER SUPPORT
We also
offer repairs, installation and upgrade services for desktop computers and
laptops using new or recycled components. Because of our stocks our cost are
kept low.
Also
For a fee of £5 per unit, we will carry out data destruction of hard drives for
any computers owned by businesses or home users. This is done to government
standards

In partnership with East Riding Training Services, RefIT is also accredited to deliver an ICT Apprenticeship. This is accomplished through work-based learning in full time work. We are actively seeking both learners and work placements for apprentices to participate in this qualification. For further information please contact us.
Accreditations/Partnerships
RefIT Bridlington is registered with the Environment Agency as a hazardous waste producer and holds a paragraph 40 exemption under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2007. We are also receiving funding from REY to support one of our staff supporting local businesses and promoting resource efficiency. RefIT is also a member of the REI which is a network of computer refurbishers.
NEXT SALES EVENT
As well as selling computer equipment from our
workshop in Bridlington we also host sales events usually in the room 1 in
county hall. This is usually on every 8 weeks or so. Please check back for our
next confirmed sales event.
