Partnership info
Who we are
In April 2003 a partnership was created between the following agencies to work together to reduce the number of speed related traffic collisions and casualties within the Humberside region.
It includes East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Highways Agency, Hull City Council, Humberside Magistrates Courts Committee, Humberside Police, North East Lincolnshire Council and North Lincolnshire Council. View Partnership structure.
The Humber region has been chosen by the Partnership, as this is the area that the Humberside Police and Humberside Magistrates Courts Committee have jurisdiction over.
Success at tackling other road safety issues such as drink-driving and the fitting and wearing of seatbelts has contributed enormously to reducing road deaths.
In more recent years the use of speed reduction measures such as road humps and the creation of 20mph zones have resulted in a reduction in casualties.
But we need to continue to tackle excessive speed and the proper use of cameras has shown that they contribute to continuing the downward trend in casualties.
