Artists in the Park 2010

This summer sees the return of Sewerby Hall and Gardens’ highly popular Artists in the Park season with a couple of exciting additions. For the third year running, visitors will be able to chat with the artists and watch as they create their own unique compositions situated in all corners of the hall and grounds. This year the newly renovated Regency Room (what was the Chip Shop room) will be used as permanent exhibition space for the talented artist’s works

As a natural progression of the very successful 2008 and 2009 seasons of Artists in the Park, Sewerby Hall and Gardens is very pleased to be able to provide seven all-day workshops to compliment our 2010 artists’ own sessions.

Each of our four Artists in the Park scheduled for 2010 will be holding their very own dedicated workshops. Artists of all abilities can come along and paint and sketch in the breathtaking Orangery here at Sewerby Hall and Gardens.

Whether outside in the grounds or inside the magnificent Hall, this stunning location is bound to provide inspiration for many a masterpiece.

The workshops will be held every Wednesday that the artist is in residence and will run from approximately 9.30am until 4.00pm.

Booking

The cost is £30.00 per session. The charge includes entry to Sewerby Hall and Gardens, refreshments and a light lunch.

Booking in person through the Estate Office is essential as places are limited. Payment must be made when booking. Booking forms can be obtained from the Estate Office (see contact details below), or by printing off and completing the booking form below:

Please bring the completed form together with payment to the Estate Office. It is advisable to make payment in person at the Estate Office. As places are limited to twenty per session, East Riding of Yorkshire Council cannot guarantee places when paying by post. If a particular session is full, an alternative will be offered and if this is not suitable, your payment will be returned.

Please note: The attendees are to bring along their own materials as advised by the artist.
