St. John's Church
The small Parish Church of St. John the Evangelist stands proudly elevated above the main car park. Carved into the sandstone brick is the date upon which the church was consecrated, 1848. It contains several stained glass windows.
The small church yard contains a war memorial which stands ‘as witness of thanksgiving for preservation during the Great War of 1914 – 19’ and in memory of those local people who gave their lives in that war, and the Second World War. Holy Communion is on Sunday at 9 am and on Thursday at 9.30 a.m
