Carers Support Service
Looking after someone can be rewarding, but it may also be difficult. Asking for support does not mean you cannot cope.
Contacting the carers support service may benefit you as a carer and the person you are care for. We offer:
- Information and advice to all carers.
- Activities and training courses designed to support carers in their caring role.
- Benefit information relevant to carers.
- Access to other organisation and services.
- Cares Support groups in local areas.
- Freephone advice line - 0800 917 68 44.
- Free annual carers events for those registered as a carer with the Carers Support Service.
- Stress-busting and relaxation activities.
- Quarterly news letter "We Care".

Carers should be recognised as individuals with own needs. Our Support workers can help carers to cope with and manage sensitive and often, complicated issues. The Carers Support Service is based at 2a Railway Street, Beverley. The office is open to the public 10am to 1pm and appointments can be booked with support worker.

Carers Support Service Newsletter
The newsletter "We Care" offers a focal point for carers which
allows exchanges of views and
information keeping carers up to date.
