10 March 2010Work has started on the exciting new facility for children and young people at the Millennium Playpark. The building has been installed and the playpark is currently being refurbished. This is a large scale project, investing £700,000 for play in Withernsea. Additional funds have been set aside to fully restore the natural features at the site, once the works are complete.

The roadshow will be held in the Education Room of the Treasure House in Beverley on Saturday, 20th March 11am - 3pm.

08 March 2010Following last year’s successful competition, today sees the launch of the ‘CPRE East Riding Hedgerow Awards’ for 2010.  CPRE East Riding and East Riding of Yorkshire Council have again teamed up with the HEYwoods Initiative - the trees and woodland initiative for Hull and the East Riding - to run the awards scheme that recognises and celebrates the best practice of farmers, landowners and community groups who plant, manage and restore native hedgerows in the East Riding.
05 March 2010Following the prolonged spell of very cold weather over the Christmas period, many of the East Riding's roads have encountered serious frost damage and the formation of pot-holes and road surface deterioration have been widespread. East Riding of Yorkshire Council has been battling the potholes with temporary repairs in order to maintain safety, and has now programmed permanent repairs at Grovehill Roundabout and about 600 metres of its A1174 Hull Road southern approach.
05 March 2010The Hornsea Area Renaissance Partnership is working with Business Link, East Riding Business Services and Hornsea Chamber of Trade to host a special event for local retailers and other businesses in the town.  The focus of the event will be to look at how businesses can plan for change and adjust their business plans to make the most out of  new situations in the market.

01 March 2010Dance 3 is a new small-scale touring initiative from the National Dance Network and is touring three sets of triple bills throughout the UK in 2010.

On Thursday, 22 April National Dance Network will be presenting Dance3, a triple bill of new work from the next generation of dance makers at The Spa, Bridlington at 7.30pm.
