As an East Riding foster carer, you’ll also receive additional financial support, training, wellbeing support and access to a range of benefits for you and your family.

Additional payments

In addition to your weekly fostering payment, you may also receive:

• Annual loyalty bonus

  £410 each year as a thank you for your continued commitment.

• Holiday payments

  Two additional weeks' payments each year to support family holidays.

• Birthday payments

  An additional payment for each child’s birthday.

• Religious celebration payments

  An additional week's payment for celebrations such as Christmas or other significant religious events.

• Setting-up allowance

  Support towards equipment or household items when a child first moves in.

• Mileage allowance

  Reimbursement for fostering-related travel.

• Refer-a-friend scheme bonus

  Earn £1,000 when someone you refer is approved and a child is placed.

Max Card discounts

The Max Card offers discounted or free entry to hundreds of attractions across the UK, including zoos, cinemas, bowling alleys and family activity centres - helping you enjoy more affordable days out together.

Support and wellbeing

You’re never on your own. We provide:

• 24/7 out-of-hours support
• Access to CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)
• Support groups and family events
• A private foster carer Facebook group
• Regular newsletters.

We’ll support you to build your skills and confidence throughout your fostering journey.
