    As you complete training and gain experience, your weekly fostering fee increases based on which skill level you are at.

    The child’s allowance

    To cover the child's everyday costs

    This weekly allowance helps cover the cost of caring for a child, including:

    • food
    • clothing and shoes
    • utility bills
    • toiletries
    • school items
    • hobbies and activities
    • pocket money
    • trips and celebrations.

    The amount depends on:

    • the child’s age
    • your fostering skill level.

    Your fostering fee

    Paid to you for your time, skills and commitment

    It recognises:

    • your time and availability
    • your training and development
    • your experience
    • the level of care you provide.
