Where can I see agendas and minutes for council and committee meetings?

Agendas and minutes for a number of council or committee meetings are available for viewing.

Agendas and reports for council or committee meetings are placed on public deposit five clear working days before each meeting. Minutes for council or committee meetings are placed on public deposit no later than five clear working days after each meeting.

Committee Description
Appeals committees
The council has two appeals committees which determine education (transport) and housing appeals.
Appointments committee
The appointments committee is responsible for appointing directors and second tier officers only.
Audit committee
The audit committee monitors the council's internal control and governance arrangements.
The Cabinet
The cabinet is responsible for most day-to-day decisions. The cabinet also guides the council in the formulation of its policy framework, including the setting of the budget and council tax levels.
The Council
The council approves all corporate plans, policies and strategies and determines all matters relating to the finances of the council, including budgets, council tax levels and financial regulations.
Health and wellbeing board
The health and wellbeing board has a duty to encourage integrated commissioning between health, social care and public health services by bringing together representatives of these sectors. The board works closely with the Clinical Commisioning Group (CCG) and oversees and monitor its work.
Joint local access forum
The joint local access forum advises on the improvement of public access to land in the area for the purposes of open-air recreation and the enjoyment of the area.
Licensing committees
The council has two committees and one sub-committee which deals with licensing matters within the East Riding. The licensing committee covers licensing issues for street trading, houses in multiple occupation, hackney carriages and private hire services, whereas the licensing act 2003 committee and sub-committee are concerned with the licensing of public houses, takeaways, gambling premises and sex establishments.
Overview and scrutiny committees
The council has one overview and scrutiny committee and four sub-committees. The role of overview and scrutiny is to review and scrutinise decisions which affect East Riding of Yorkshire residents and make recommendations to support the improvement of council services and holds the Cabinet to account in relation to specific matters.
Pensions committee
The pensions committee advises the council on arrangements for dealing with the Pension Fund in conjunction with other bodies who contribute to the Fund.
Planning committees
The council has one committee and two sub-committees whose role is to determine planning applications under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and related legislation.
Staff terms and conditions committee
The committee considers staff terms and conditions matters arising from major changes to departmental structures and approves staff retention packages and incentives.
Standards committees
The council has one committee and one sub-committee, the main business of which is to deal with complaints made against councillors for both East Riding of Yorkshire Council and town and parish councils.
Standard advisory council on religious education

The standing advisory council on religious education (SACRE) advises the council on matters connected with religious education and collective worship and monitors provision and standards in religious education.
