Brief description

A new 1.2km shared use off-road cycle/footway along Marton Road, Bridlington between Burlington Junior School and North Bridlington library. The proposal aims to increase walking and cycling to/from school and encourage trips to local amenities to be made by bike or on foot rather than by car by providing a safe off-road facility, improving overall road safety. Re-purposing the existing highway to create an off-road shared use footway/cycleway will also provide more space for social distancing and benefit inclusive mobility by providing more space for mobility scooters to pass each other.
