Description

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is inviting residents of Brough to share their views on the impact of commuter parking in the area. Many residents have expressed growing concerns about the difficulty of finding parking spaces near their homes, as well as frequent obstruction of driveways and footways and growing safety concerns due to parking pressures.

This consultation aims to understand the scale of the issue and gather feedback on possible parking controls.

Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ):

A Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) is an area where on-street parking is regulated during certain times of the day unless you have a permit. These restrictions are clearly signposted and are designed to:

· prioritise parking for residents

· improve access for emergency and service vehicles (such as bin wagons and delivery vehicles)

 Â· reduce long-stay commuter parking

CPZs can include permit-only areas, time-limited bays, or a combination of both. A CPZ typically allows non-permit holders to park for a short time which helps residents to receive visitors more easily.
