Text and email notifications for outstanding balances

On this page:

    Introduction

We are trialling a messaging service to reach out to customers who have overdue payments on any of the following:

    • council tax
    • business rates
    • housing benefit overpayments
    • council invoices, such are adult social care payments.

If your account becomes overdue, we may reach out to you before taking further recovery action. This service can help you avoid receiving statutory recovery notices and extra costs.

While this service is designed to help prevent further arrears, it should not be solely relied upon. It is your responsibility to ensure your payments are up to date according to your bill or invoice. Failure to do so may lead to recovery action.
