Do it for East Yorkshire

On this page:

    Introduction

Do it for East Yorkshire (DifEY) is a funding programme from East Riding of Yorkshire Council. It supports community groups, charities and voluntary organisations to deliver new or additional activity that benefits local communities.

The Do it for East Yorkshire Community Grant is currently open for applications.

Do It For East Yorkshire Community Grant

East Riding of Yorkshire Council recognises that the cost-of-living crisis is putting unforeseen pressures on residents and community groups across the county.

We are committed to supporting sustainable community activities that improve health and wellbeing, increase access to local resources and services, and reduce social isolation.

The fund will support projects that strengthen social infrastructure, culture and volunteering; improve community spaces and accessibility; enhance safety and how places are perceived locally; and deliver environmental and green space improvements.

The Do it for East Yorkshire Fund (DifEY – the Fund) supports these aims and also funds activities that enhance pride of place, encourage better use of community services, and pilot projects to test their future potential as sustainable activities.

We are inviting applications from eligible organisations that have new activity or activity substantially different to previous DifEY projects that focus on the aims of the fund.

All applications need to consider the following:

    • Applications will need to include new or substantially developed elements to their projects
    • Please consider why you want to do this activity and what evidence you have that this is needed
    • What are the outputs, outcomes and benefits of delivering this project?
    • How will the project build capacity within your organisation or community?
    • How will the project be sustained after the funding has ended?
