Positive Activities Inclusive Grant (PAIG)

The Positive Activities Inclusive Grant (PAIG) is designed to benefit young people by providing grant funding to voluntary youth/sport organisations that provide positive diversionary activity.

What is the Positive Activities Inclusive Grant (PAIG)?

The PAIG Fund is designed around the five pillars of youth work, which are Educative, Expressive, Participative, Inclusive, and Empowering. These pillars are foundational to youth work and guide how youth workers build relationships, create learning opportunities, and support young people's development.

This scheme supports voluntary and community groups that can enhance activity opportunities for children and young people with SEND who live in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It provides funding for community based, weekly term-time and holiday youth group sessions across the area, aimed at children and young people aged 5–25 and children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The aim is to encourage peer interaction outside of a school environment, support SEND families to build networks, strengthen resilience, and provide guidance, support, and appropriate signposting to services through the short break offer. The scheme also aims to support mainstream youth groups in developing or improving their capacity to be more inclusive and accessible for children and young people with additional needs. For some groups, this may also provide parent/carers with the opportunity to take a break away from their caring responsibilities during the group session.

The Fund welcomes applicants specifically for Activities Supporting Participation & Inclusion for SEND children and young people. This fund is designed to support community groups, charities, and youth projects throughout East Riding, with a total of £158,252 available for initiatives aimed at benefiting SEND young people in the area.

This funding will be delivered in two funding rounds, each with different delivery activity periods:
