What is the Tour de Yorkshire Community Fund?

East Riding of Yorkshire Council established a new small grant fund to support eligible communities in the East Riding to celebrate the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race taking place between 2 and 5 May 2019.  A map of the route indicating those parishes eligible is available below:

Who is eligible to apply for the Tour de Yorkshire Community Fund?

Applications to the fund have now closed. Eligible applicants were those Town and Parish Councils through which the route of the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race passed.  Town and Parish Councils could also submit applications in partnership with other groups or organisations as long as the Town or Parish Council was the lead applicant.

What will the Tour de Yorkshire Community Fund support?

The fund was available to help with the costs of related events (e.g. community activities, exhibitions, street decorations, themed artwork) linked to the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race (2019).  In total, more than £9,500 was awarded to support projects in 20 parishes along the route of the race.  Please click on the file below to see a list of the excellent activities supported.

How do I apply for the Tour de Yorkshire Community Fund?

Applications to the fund have now closed.  Applications were made using a simple online application form within the Council's Flexi-Grant system.
