If you are conducting filming for personal and recreational use, you do not require a permit. However, if filming is taking place on council land or property and is intended for public use or has been commissioned, you will require permission (please note charges may apply). If you are not sure if you require permission, please contact our marketing team who will be happy to assist you.
All requests need to go through the marketing team who will arrange the correct permissions and advise on the procedure. The marketing team will also advise if possible the ownership of land or property if it is not known.
In order to carry out filming the marketing team require:
- a completed and signed location agreement (supplied by East Riding of Yorkshire Council) two weeks before filming commences.
- a completed risk assessment
- a Certificate of Public liability insurance to the value of £10 million.
Contact the council's marketing team for more information.
