Two folios of watercolours by the Strickland sisters of Boynton Hall : Elizabeth and her younger sisters Charlotte (1759-1833) and Juliana Sabina (1765-1849). There is also one sketch by Henry Eustatius Strickland (1777-1865). There watercolours and sketches are local, across the country and abroad (France, Italy & Switzerland). Folio 1: Blue/red marbelised cover & leather spine, containing some 67 loose watercolours (colour & monochrome) and pencil sketches. A large number signed "ES" or "EFR" (Elizabeth Strickland, later Strickland Freeman). Also works by "CS" (Charlotte Strickland) and one by "HE" (Henry Eustatius Strickland). See list of contents in object history file. Folio 2: Brown/blue/red marbelised cover and leather spine, labelled "watercoloured sketches by Julia & Charlotte Strickland." The majority are secured (mainly pasted) into the album.
