Description:

Copper alloy hollow ball. Decorated on lower half with a swirling pattern. Holes in the top and sides. Flat ring attached to the top. Identified as a pomander but looks more like a harness bell). Excavation: Cowlam Deserted Medieval Village, site II, Trench 5, 1972(c). The DMV dates to the 17th century.
