A note at the back of this framed photograph states that it was presented in 1990 by Bernard Dean in memory of his Grandfather, John William Dean (married to Hannah Walters), father of Olive (Blower), Ella (Dunn), Kitty (Ellarby), Arthur, Stanley, and Freddie. John William Dean was in the Beverley Borough Police 1896 to 1925, and landlord of the Royal Oak (Drum and Monkey) Hotel.
