Description:

Plaque depicting a woman cupping a hand to her right ear and the other hand to her mouth. Her legs are bent with one foot wrapped behind the other leg. With telegraph pole and wires behind her. Inscribed down one edge - "Fug. Jean de Bremaecker". On the other side is a flaming torch with ribbons and foliage and 'A la gloire de la telegraphie sans fil' at the top. Beneath are lists of all the people who played an important part in the invention of the telegraph system / events connected with it and at the very bottom "La Societe des amis Hollandaise Belge de la medaille d'art."
