Base sherd from a Langeware stoneware drinking jug. Grey fabric with external brown glaze. From watching brief on Land adjacent to 20 Main Street, Watton, (grid ref TA0165 5015), in 1998. Feature 3 - a large oval pit. Imported from Germany in the 14th and 15th centuries. Identical type to some excavated in Hull.
