Title: Cottingham Castle
Item Name: Country House

Description:

A two-storey castellated building with three-storey castellated towers, built of white brick with stone dressings. The house was largely destroyed by fire in 1861. Castle Hill hospital is on the site. A folly with castellated top survives. Architects & Craftsmen: Not known, but possibly the work of Henry Hakewill who designed Cave Castle at South Cave.
