Description:

The east (entrance) front is basically of the 1720s. The two-storey, five-bay facade has a slightly projecting centre bay with later porch and a later bay to the right. There are plain pilasters to the angles and a first-floor band. The south front is of nine bays. Architects & Craftsmen: Designs for 1720s rebuilding by William Wakefield. Altertions of 1750s-60s, including the chapel, attributed to John Carr. Craftsmen working at Holme Hall in the 18th century include William Etty of York and Jeremiah Hargrave of Hull. Plans for landscaping grounds provided by Thomas White, 1777.
