Title: Buckton Hall
Item Name: Country House

Description:

Five bays, three storeys plus semi-basement with brick vaulting. The south front is chalk with stone dressings; the other three sides are faced with brick. In style the house looks early 18th century, but a documentary reference indicates that building work began in 1742. The interior was destroyed by fire in 1919, when the present flat roof was constructed, replacing a pitched roof with attics.
