Description:

The house and associated buildings were described as erected "within the last twelve years" when the house was advertised for sale in 1782, but the north wing may incorporate the earlier house shown on Buck's drawing of c. 1720. However, the present main range looks c. 1810. Brick with hipped slate roof. The west front is of five bays, with the centre three bays projecting slightly, with a pediment over. Porch with Tuscan columns. The south front has a central two-storey bow. Architects & Craftsmen: Rebuilt c. 1770 to designs of Thomas Atkinson.
