Worn copper alloy coin. Obverse shows a male head facing left and the legend "[CAROLVS] A. CAROLO". Reverse worn smooth. Probably a half penny coin of Charles II (1660-1685). Excavation: Cowlam Deserted Medieval Village, site I, Tr 8, 1972(c) The DMV dates to the 17th century.
