Description:
Churchyard in foreground, large building (public house) beyond, with group of figures and horse in the yard. One door marked BH. The drawing depicts the Hall Garth Inn (otherwise kwown as the Admiral Duncan) from the north. The building was basically 18th or early 19th century, but may have had some earlier features. It was the site of the Provost's prison prior to the Restoration, became a farmhouse in 1896 and was pulled down in 1958. Nearby Hall Garth field may have been the site of the Archbishop's Manor house. Card mount.
