Title: Small-long brooch
Item Name: Dress and Personal Accessories

Description:

Copper alloy 'small-long' brooch, square headed, with casting blemishes. Decorated with stamped half circles and incised horizontal lines. Remains of pin in ferrous salts on underside. The weave pattern of the fabric to which the brooch was pinned is visible in the corrosion. Excavation: Sewerby, Anglian Cemetery, Home Farm, (grave 49) 1959, 1974.
