Item Name: Fixtures and Fittings
Description:
Silver figurine in the form of a bird, thought to date to the Roman period. It represents a duck on water. Rectangular body, triangular in section. A line separates the head from the body and two indentations either side of the beak represent the eyes. The other end is squared off, with a recessed, heart shaped tail. The top is decorated with a number of incised lines. The reverse is hollowed out and undecorated. A metal detecting find at Wawne in March 2019.
