Description:

Waisted round ended cylinder of chalk. One end very worn; perhaps used to pound things inside a curved bowl of stone or wood. From excavations at Swaythorpe Farm, Kilham, 1998 (context 42AA). The excavation revealed parts of a 'Ladder' type settlement, as well as several burials.
