Description:

Fragment of quern rim from Swaythorpe Farm, Kilham, excavations in 1998 (context 49). 'Beehive' type, found in paving material around the latrines. Exterior surface roughly peck dressed, base apparently natural. No indication of any perforation. The excavation revealed parts of a 'Ladder' type settlement, as well as several burials.
