Description:

Two sandstone pot boilers, both burnt red. Excavation: Willerby Wold Long Barrow (TA 029 761), 1958 - 1960. Excavated by Terry Manby in 1958-60, the roughly trapezoidal timber structure had a timber post facade at the east end and was covered with an earth/chalk mound. Radio carbon dated to around 3000BC.
