Regency Mahogany metamorphic library chair. Curved back with carved arm rests, cane seat, turned legs with brass castors. The chair opens to form a number of steps. This item was acquired when Sewerby Hall was purchased by the local authority in 1934 and is therefore one of the few pieces of furniture remaining that is actually associated with the Hall.
