Nodule of Mica, from Australia. Mica is a mineral which is found in a number of types of rock. It can be found in either a dark, iron/manganese-rich form or in a white form containing aluminium. It splits perfectly into thin flakes. Part of the T.H. Riley collection, transferred from Doncaster Museum in 1963.
