Post battle scene, with bound prisoners in centre, many soldiers on left and right, walled city on left in distance, burning castle on high ground to right. Leader pointing at prisoners, perhaps ordering their execution(?) whilst a woman with child begs at his feet. Possibly a Biblical scene, though the figures are in Renaissance period dress (one of the figures tro the left appears to be holding a Swiss cantonal flag. Wood and gilt frame.
