Landcape painting. Undated, but may have been painted in 1937-8. Poplar trees in foreground, river beyond, mountains rising in distance. Heavily wooded landscape with cloudy sky. Was exhibited at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool (Mary's home city) and at the Royal Acadamy in 1938. Gilt wood and plaster frame, glazed. 1 of 55 works bequeathed by Fred Ewell.
