Description:
Copper alloy pendant, probably connected with the Yorkshire Catholic Reformatory School for Boys, which existed on a site near Market Weighton from c1850 until the early 1970's. Oval, with loop at the top for a chain. Raised head of Christ on one side, with lettering SALVATOR MUNDI (saviour of the world). Head of the virgin Mary on the other face and lettering (mostly worn away) MATER.....(mother). Part of metal detecting collection belonging to the late Terry Britten.
