Title: Romano-British child burial

Description:

Skeleton of child from Swaythorpe Farm, Kilham, excavations 1998 (context 19AA). Based on the teeth, the child was probably around 9 years of age. The form of the pelvis may indicate a male child, but this is not certain. He/she was buried with the head to the north, extend for 1.00m. A number of infant bones were also found in this context. (and in 12AA). Probably aged 3 months or less. The excavation revealed parts of a 'Ladder' type settlement, as well as several burials.
